Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough medical history taking, physical examinations, and accurate diagnosis of patients
- Develop, implement, and follow up on appropriate treatment plans for both acute and chronic conditions
- Provide emergency medical care and stabilise patients when necessary
- Manage common outpatient and inpatient cases, including hypertension, diabetes, infections, and minor injuries
- Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive patient records using electronic
- Counsel patients and their families on disease prevention, health promotion, treatment adherence, and lifestyle modifications
- Collaborate effectively with nurses, pharmacists, specialists, and other healthcare team members
- Ensure strict adherence to medical ethics, patient confidentiality, and regulatory standards
Must Have
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree
- Valid medical practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN)
- Minimum of 2 years post-NYSC clinical experience
- Strong clinical skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care
- Ability to work effectively in a team and handle emergency cases
- Strong communication and patient management skills
- Ability to work shifts and handle emergencies
Nice to have
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Strong diagnostic skills in general medicine and emergency care
- Additional certifications in ACLS, BLS, or other relevant medical fields
- Fluency in English and Hausa anguage
